i was really excited when shara wrote with interest in collaborating on her spring/ summer 2013 lookbook shoot. i've been admiring her clothing and process for the past year and recently have been thinking about doing more sculptural and installation work again.
after messing around with a lot of ideas, i finally decided to gather up small bunches of dried flowers to hang in the background. so many of the flowers used had been collected over the years- kept in vases or pinned to a wall in our home so i loved the idea of repurposing them for this shoot. i was also really attracted to these muted dead tones behind her spring florals (and this beautiful waves design by her husband.) fortunately, she had a sunny day for shooting and got some fantastic shadows.
i cannot wait to see more pictures of her collection. from the looks of her pics thus far, her clothes are for this collection are so amazing!
